The Rat King Exotic Sidearm form Destiny 2.
"We are small, but we are legion."
Added smooth handle and vertical versions of the top section. For the smooth handle version what I've done is separate the handle from the body. You can either wrap the handle then attach it to the body or you can attach the handle to the body then wrap it. If you choose to wrap it before attaching it to the body you will need to grind away some material on the body sections. With the endless range of fabrics, ribbons and other materials to wrap the handle with it's nearly impossible to give it a good or universal tolerance for width of wrapping material.
Very simply if the want to print it with the wrapped handle (pictured version) print "Body 1 L" and "Body 1 R"
If you want to print the smooth handle version then print "Smooth Body 1 L", "Smooth Handle L", "Smooth Body 1 R", and "Smooth Handle R".
For the "Top" parts both versions are the same, the only difference is the orientation you have the choice of either printing horizontally or vertically, which ever you think your printer will print best. I printed the horizontal version for mine.
Straight up build, has removable Mag and Bullet. Measures around 310mm from longest point to longest point. Largest print part is 180mm.
Printing Details: There are three versions of the "Bullet" and "Body Detail" files.
For the Bullet: V1 is smaller in diameter then the original and V2 is Smaller then V1.
For the " Body Detail" part: the original file "Body Detail" is 1:1 accurate to the model. "Body Detail V1" is 0.4 mm taller then "Body Detail". Body Detail V2 is 0.4mm taller then "Body Detail V1" and 0.8mm taller than "Body Detail". These different height versions are here because in my print the original "Body Detail" part printed to short. I tried raising it by 0.4mm with V1 and it also printed to short. I raised it by 0.4mm again with V2 and that printed flush to the top of the gun. I had to use "Body Detail V2" on mine, I left the original and V1 versions here just in case either one of then works better with your printer.
For clarification I recommend you try printing "Body Detail" first. If it is too short then try printing V1 and/or V2 if need be.
For printing the any version of the "Body Detail" I'd highly recommend printing with a Raft for best results. My first printing attempt was without one and it lifted from the print bed. Adding a brim might do the trick too but I went with a Raft and it printed beautifully.
Same suggestion for the Bullet as well.
Going to be modeling either the Better Devils or Old Fashioned next.
