"János Török (1843 - 1892) was a lawyer, mayor of Temesvár (1876-1885) and Chief of Police of Budapest (1885 -1892). 1854-1862 he attended the Piaristengymnasium in Timisoara and made ​​in June 1862 Abitur. 1862-1866 he studied government and law in Pressburg and Pest. After graduation he was first vice notary in Vinga (1866-1896), after the notary's assistant in Timisoara and worked from 1867 assistant in the law firm of Nándor Rieger. In 1869 he entered the service of the city of Timisoara, first as an intern, then as municipal head notary (1872 to 1876). He worked mainly among the mayors Karl Küttel and Franz Steiner. Following the resignation of Franz Steiner (1876), he became the mayor elected by Timisoara."
