Description
This bowl/vase is decorated with plant flourished: on one side a grapevine with a wolf mauling a sheep is depicted; and on the other a pine branch, the god Pan, a wolf and a billy goat. The gift to Silvanus, the god of the woods, was offered by Q. Caecilius Amandus, scriba libarius quaestorius, and by Q. Tullius Amandus.
Originally from Rignano Flaminio, from the antique market. Dated late 1st century AD.
