Material: Resin
Description
This was printed on a Voxel Proxima. 8 sec exposure, phrozen “model grey” water washable resin.
I want to give a long form review of this mini and will do so for others I buy from time to time.
She is lovely. I hope you all can tell from the pictures I took of the print. The fabric texture, the brocade fabric look, the raised armor plating (I will upload a finished paint job at a later date planning on gold leafing her armor). All of the details are there, and even a detectable grin.
The base is a bit thin and it would be wise I think to place this model as is on something that reinforces that base and the resin I printed with has a very slight flex under slightly above normal pressure and the characters weight rests on the lower drape. Despite this I am confident that the statuette will hold up because the effect does require some pressure.
The skulls on the bottom are a nice detail and give a great impression of greater detail than they have, so at the size of the head of a pin they are very cool.
All in all if you want a great fallen angel this is an excellent choice.
I printed this mini with the included supports only. It held and printed beautifully and the cleanup was very minor as the included supports were minimal in structure but work very well. I was impressed by both the supports and the half ball fit half socket fit points which allowed the wings to attach very easily.
The bow string did break on me as I removed the supports with the mini still green. This was my fault as it could have been avoided with a little bit more care. The supports removed so easily I overestimated the string a bit. It was easy to fix however.
All in all 5 out of 5 great model!
