T'was the Night before Durin's Day And the Mines were clear As the dwarves in the mess hall were getting wasted on beer The Celebration could be heard From miles around As they were excited to hear That Dwarf Nicholas was in town His mountain goats pulling His Mine cart of gifts From jewel encrusted Axes and Hammers for Smiths! As the last dwarves passed out From drinking too much ale Old Dwarf Nicholas Began work without fail! A new Anvil for Vroth'gar For the one that he broke A shield for Roldon Along with a displacer beasts cloak A growth potion for Mil'gar So he can throw Giants to the sky A new shovel for Dirt Spelled with a U, not an I New Helmets for the miners to see in the caves New Weapons for the guards To send monsters to the grave Once he was done Setting the gifts in there place He told his goats to leave With very much haste As it was about morning And the dwarves would see All the new tools and gifts That he left for thee But before he left He said with great cheer HAPPY DURIN'S DAY MY BROTHERS TILL NEXT YEAR!!! :D
