Description
This was a fun little project with easy print, assembly and paint. I printed this at 70% scale and everything worked out fantastic. Chest top and bottom were a perfect fit right off the print bed, the lock and key assembly just took a little sanding to get everything to fit and work smoothly, but the design was spot on. I didn't think the side rings would flex enough to slip on, but they fit perfect.. Also the latch that snaps into the lid is a tight fit, but once in, it lined up with the locking hole perfectly. I used cheap Acrylic paints and a brush to paint, doing several layers of color and a dry brush finish at the end to give a "hammered metal" look.
