Description
Hi Hemistorm!
My 3D printed submission is a 1957 Jeep FC-150 4WD 1:9 scale RC truck riding on a GCM CMAX leaf sprung chassis. This build was my submission for the 2019 Scale Builders Guild work truck build off. I modeled the body, interior, floor pan, bumpers etc. using Fusion 360 and I used a combination of PLA and PETG. I printed all components on my Prusa MK3. It was my first time taking on a larger modeling project and made a lot of mistakes along the way but it was a great learning experience, very rewarding.
Everything on this body has been 3D printed with the exception of the chassis, wheels, tires, light lenses, windows and action figures. All in all a very fun project!

Here is a link to a short video I put together documenting the design process and a short running video (all up around 6 minutes in length) if interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUDhdMphyi0
The trailer in the video was also largely built using a combination of 3D components that I modeled and conventional materials such as aluminum channel, styrene and checker plate sheet from RC4WD.
Cheers and many thanks for the great videos over the years, excellent work! Have fun with the 3D printer, once you start down the design path the sky is pretty much the limit and really expands the utility of the technology. Best of luck and have fun!
