Welcome to my story of my PeaceKeeper creation, the MATV body is fully designed and 3D printed in Carbon Nylon filament by Exclusive RC along with the Soldier and the military pelican cases.
The vehicle body was aquired in 2018 and originally designed for the Traxxas TRX4 sport. I recently created the current chassis using the Element RC Sendero chassis, their IFS kit and incorporated Gatekeeper rear trailing arm suspension to make the wheelbase fit this body for a more realistic drivetrain.
The Soldier, also printed in Carbon Nylon, was hand painted by me to represent and add to the detail of the body in honor of those whom have or are currently serving the Military.
The cargo cases are also printed to match the scale of the vehicle and Soldier. They are mounted as cargo in a manner consistant with reality as a scout delivery vehicle.
The wheel nut covers are also a printed part found on Thingiverse and printed by Mike George of Carry-All RC.
The 31st of May a few close friends decided to do a tribute trail run to those Soldiers who never made it home from the Vietnam Conflict. Our adventure was to take a step for every name currently listed on the memorial wall. we exceeded our collective goal and completed over 59,000 steps and covered 12.3 miles of trail.
The pictured rig completed every one of those steps without fail, proving that 3D printed bodies are durable and ultra scale at the same time.
