3D Printable Model RC Airplane

DanoSoft is pleased to introduce our Project “R” 3D printable model Radio Control airplane, which started flight testing trials on March 26th in Tallahassee, Florida.

About

Following 3 years of R&D, this project is for an easy to print midsize RC model airplane, suitable for pilots of intermediate skills or better. It is printable on most low-cost hobbyist 3D printer with a build volume of 300mm X 300mm X 400mm or larger, such as the Artillery Sidewinder X1, Creality CR-10, and many other similar size 3D printers.

It consists of roughly 25 printed parts, which when assembled results in an Almost Ready to Fly (ARF) model, needing just the electronic components and power system to complete.

The model is sized to fit in most cars completely assembled, but includes removable wings if required for transportation or storage.

Project stage

The project is in its final test flight stage.

Afterward, when the flight testing is complete, the documentation stage will begin before the model is released. This means writing a detailed manual, including pictures and drawings, and producing videos showing the printing, assembly, control setup and balancing of the model.
