Hello family! We are Games Mythology and we return to tell you about our first experience on Kickstarter and the surprise we got.

As rookies we have made some mistakes, but our philosophy is that each failure brings you closer to victory. In the end the project was successful, we managed to finance it and the result was much better than we expected.

¡Hola familia! Somos Games Mythology y volvemos para contaros como fue nuestra primera experiencia en Kickstarter y la sorpresa que nos llevamos.

Como novatos hemos cometido algunos errores, pero nuestra filosofía es que cada fallo te acerca más al triunfo. Al final el proyecto fue exitoso, conseguimos financiarlo y el resultado fue mucho mejor de lo que esperábamos.

The most positive and surprising thing about our Kickstarter adventure were the people we met along the way, from the patrons who praised our work or gave us constructive feedback to improve, to the artists who offered to help us promoting the campaign or painting our miniatures.

After finishing the campaign of “The Toxotes Army”, where we focused on the archers of ancient Greece, we collected all the opinions and requests and began to work on “The Athenians Army”, a campaign that in addition to the archers, includes hoplites ( infantry), hippeis (cavalry), heroes and mythological creatures.

This article is aimed at all those people who helped us in the last campaign and who are helping us with the next one.

Lo más positivo y sorprendente de nuestra aventura en Kickstarter fueron las personas que nos encontramos por el camino, desde los mecenas que alabaron nuestro trabajo o nos dieron un constructivo feedback para mejorar, hasta los artistas que se ofrecieron a ayudarnos promocionando la campaña o pintando nuestras miniaturas.

Tras terminar la campaña de “The Toxotes Army”, donde nos centramos en los arqueros de la antigua Grecia, recopilamos todas las opiniones y peticiones y empezamos a trabajar en “The Athenians Army”, una campaña que además de los arqueros, incluye hoplitas (infantería), hippeis (caballería), héroes y criaturas mitológicas.

Este artículo va dirigido a todas esas personas que nos ayudaron en la última campaña y que están ayudando con la próxima.

Secondly, we want to mention @Fenricstudio, he helped us promote the new campaign by making a boxart of our hoplites, we loved the result, enjoy his wonderful art with us, one of our favorite parts is the shield drawings, such a marvel:

Thirdly, we must talk about @khazalidtv, we collaborate with his patreon channel where in addition to meeting the rest of his patrons (an incredible group that has also helped us a lot with feedback and support) we have enjoyed his painting tutorial of our Strategos and a tutorial on how to create bases for miniatures.

Fourthly, several people offered to paint our first creature, and for that we will be eternally grateful, we are sure that we will have them again to work with our miniatures.
