This is a model of one of my favourite PVE SMG's from Destiny 2's Vow of the Disciple raid - Submission. I decided to paint it with the Jacarina shader.
Details:
It took just over a week to print on my Ender 3 v2, using a bit under 1kg of PLA filament with some sub-optimal supports. It is assembled using 3mm pins and press-fits, with super glue only needed for the sight and joining the trigger guards together.
It is ~60cm in length, and 6cm wide at its widest points along the barrel.
Features:
Two 8mm diameter and 3mm deep holes are present at the top of the magazine and within the grip, where rare earth magnets of the same size can be press-fit inside. This allows the magazine to slide in - stay in - and out of the bottom of the grip, like in-game.
There is a compartment in the lower body of the model, where a rubber band can be used to create a mechanism that allows the trigger to be pulled back and return to its resting position. A similar compartment is located in the upper body, where the loading slider can be pulled back like in-game too, using a rubber band.
Very happy with how it turned out, and am keen for any suggestions to make further props, whether it be from Destiny, Overwatch, or other games.
