A 3D printable robust, durable and efficient Taller Egg Rotary Dispenser that is easy to print without any support on a larger 3D Printer with a minimum build volume of 180 mm X 180 mm X 300 mm (~ 7” X 7” X 12“).
The dispenser is used to sore and dispense fresh eggs on a counter top, shelf or table at room temperature. It may be difficult to use this dispenser in a refrigerator to dispense store-bought eggs, unless there is at least 375 mm (15”) spacing between the shelves.
The part can be easily 3D printed, without any support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer with a Z axis of at lest 300 mm (12”), such as the Artillery Sidewinder X1, the Creality CR-10, the FLSUN QQ Delta and other similar 3D printers with taller Z axis. It can be printed with a variety of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and many other types of printable materials.
PETG works very well for this application. It is easy to print. The object should be durable, easy to maintain, and last for a long time.
PLA should work as well as long as the parts will not be used, stored or kept at in a high temperature environment, exceeding ~55 C (~ 130 F).
- The pictures of the dispenser on the counter with the fresh eggs are courtesy of my neighbor Ben, who has been kind enough to supply us with delicious fresh eggs from his free ranging chickens.
