Description
This relief shows a knight in the center. He is riding towards an altar and holds a patera (libation bowl) with his right hand, behind him is a servant with a short tunic and a hooded chlamys. Behind the altar is a snake coiling around a tree trunk. The purpose of the altar is not clear, but the composition of the relief finds many comparisons in funerary and votive reliefs diffused in Microasian and Nesiotic areas from the beginning of the Hellenistic age.
