The gablestone of the former guild house of the winemeters and winemakers.
The guild house was located in the center of Ghent, it has been destroyed, but the stone was preserved in the St Bavo Abbey.

Both guilds have always worked together. The winemeters were responsible for measuring the correct amount of wine per pint.
In the center is the coat of arms of the guild.
On the left you can observe a winemeter mesuring wine and a servant cleaning the wares.
The lower part represents the drunken Noah, mocked by his son Ham, in the presence of his brothers Shem and Japheth that cover his nakedness.
