‘Janggyeongho’ is a long-necked jar, which the neck accounts for over one-fifth of the total length of the jar.‘Janggyeongho’ is divided into two categories: those with a ‘gupdari,’ orpedestal, and those without it.This artifact is blue-grey stoneware with a long neck, body and ‘gupdari.’ The mouth is wide, and the neck starting from the shoulder gets wider as it goes to the top.Lines divide the neck into three layers; the middle and lower layers are decorated with the ‘pasangmun,’ or wavy-line pattern. There’s also a line on the shoulder area. The shoulder and neck are connected angularly. The body is spherical with the middle protruding out the most. Thegupdari has eight holes.
‘Janggyeongho’ is replicated and made into a container that can be used in the kitchen. It has the wavy-line patterns on the neck and body of the artifact, and carries the beauty of gupdari, neck and the overall shape of the jar. Jars are commonly used even today. The object can be used for various purposes in the kitchen.
And this Janggyeongho was made of soil.
