Miletus (Turkey), found 1903, near market gate
From the division of finds 1905; marble, around 150 BC
The parly preserved head of a young man which idealized facial features is understood to depict a Hellenistic ruler, due to the band in his curly hair. Certain classification is however not possible. Historically plausible suggestions are of an Attalid or Seleucid king.
