Introducing my articulated Tortoise design! It's been quite a fun challenge to design of a tortoise that could both stand and retract into it's shell!
It's fully print-in-place, you just have to crack the head free (similar to the bunny and tiger). To help him stand, there are small ball and socket joints on the ends of the legs. Just pull the legs out as far as you can, and they should snap into the position that will allow them to support it's weight. Then pop them back in to let him hide back in his shell. (The first few times might take some extra effort, but they should break-in nicely)

Pulling the legs out fully allows them to pop into sockets. That creates enough tension to make him stand up. It may be difficult the first few times, but once it breaks-in, it should work with light effort. The head has built in pre-supports, just twist the head after printing to crack the joint free.

This should generally scale down to about 60% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.
**This model was designed for FDM printing. It was not designed for Resin printing, and I cannot guarantee good/functional results. Resin print at your own risk.*
Attention: Not suitable for unsupervised play by small children or pets, as small parts can pose a choking hazard if broken off due to rough play. Not recommended for children under 3.

Printed on a Bambu A1 Mini with 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height. Scale percentages from left to right are 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100. I plan to get a 0.2 mm nozzle soon and will try to print the small one again and maybe go even smaller. It's still functional at 20% but it's difficult to get the legs out because they're so small. It's also very fragile at that size and I pulled off a back leg but was able to shove it back into place
