Description
For those suckers like me that do not have an SLA printer and are printing minis using an FDM printer, I did a test on the print orientation of the sword to get the best results. I have tried three printing orientations: blade upright, horizontal with the blade parallel to the bed and horizontal with the edge of the blade parallel to the print bed. I know FDM is not the best technique for printing minis, but I optimize my prints so that the still look good from a playing distance and so that the print looks back best from the visible side. In this case the front side is the most important side. I think printing it horizontally with the blade parallel to the bed gives the best results. Printed in 0.1 mm layer height in PLA.
