This is an exact replica of the Gravity Gloves from Half Life Alyx. I have heavily modifyed the in game models to ensure they retain the details from the textures. Space has been made for LED's. the hearts and circuit boards will look convincing if you use my stickers and templates.
This is not an easy print and makes for quite the challenge challenge indeed.
Next Alyx model will be the Shotgun
for best results resin printing is preferred.
TIPS AND INSTRUCTIONS: parts labelled with X2 or X4 shows the amount of times this part needs to be printed.
Stickers and copper templates must be printed as actual size A5 (148mm x 210mm)
I recommend copper or aluminium shim then wrapping them in Brass vinyl sticker.
TORCH- Ball joint is designed to house 3 cell batteries. switch is stored at the bottom.
the cap is designed to house a small regular torch cone reflector.
MAGNETS- One magnet glued in torch base, other glued unter left metal bar.
LED'S- battery and switch stored under BaseL. small LED strip is to be placed under Hearts.
Will shine through and light up the heart stickers nicely if printed with inkjet. Green LED's
will glow without being connected, as light from the LED strip should illuminate them as well.
WIRES- wires used on the fingers are stripped from the interior of a 3 phase power cable. Check reference images on the web to check the bent shape of these cables.
PAINT- MR hobby airbrush paints were used for all parts
GLOVES- any fingerless leather gloves should work well. Make sure they fit well first. I glued velcro to the glove and the base part so easy adjustment can be made.
