Join the team, on a mission to empower a new generation of designers
At MyMiniFactory, the team is on a mission to build the best platform and community for creators to share digital objects with 3D printer owners around the world. Since founding in June 2013, we've been on a journey to disrupt many industries and change the way people consume objects. We're hugely ambitious, and won't stop before everyone has access to a 3D printer and the high quality 3D printable objects to go along with it.
What to expect when joining the MyMiniFactory team
A small, but
In order to fulfil our mission (it's no small task!), we're looking for people who are passionate about bringing 3D printing to the mass market and who want to join an existing team of like-minded pioneers.
We're certainly very influenced by companies YouTube, but we're also figuring out a lot of things as the industry grows. You'll need to be results driven and love execution to thrive at MyMiniFactory.
We're constantly inspired by the talented designers who upload an share to MyMiniFactory. The best part of the job is to be living this revolution from the inside and observe how we are helping creators inspire others.
Technology team - Open positions
FULL-STACK DEVELOPER (FULL TIME)
The focus of our web development team is to:
- develop the best platform for 3D designers to upload and share content (we would be nothing without our community of designers), and;
- develop an easy-to-enjoy experience for people browsing for 3D printable content (the demand side).
The web development team works closely with the Operations team, for example on projects with big brands (references include: Google, Parrot, pebble, Bethesda, Autodesk, Playstation, etc.).
The ideal candidate is a junior full-stack developer who is passionate about bringing 3D printing technology to the masses, and who wants to take part with a small team in building out this vision for distributing 3D printable objects and empowering creators. The role requires knowledge in php, html, css, js and MVC frameworks. We run Symfony2, so experience with that is a bonus. Interest in working with newer web technologies is also a bonus (React/Angular, python, Django, etc.).
MATHEMATICS-DRIVEN SOFTWARE ENGINEER (FULL TIME)
MyMiniFactory is looking for a junior software engineer to join its London-based Technology team.
MyMiniFactory manipulates 3D printable objects (meshes) to optimise them for various applications (3D printing, viewing, pre-processing, etc.) in order to add ever more value to the experience of 3D printer owners when exploring, downloading and consuming digital objects.
The ideal candidate is a junior full-stack software engineer who is passionate about emerging technology and who wants to take part with a small team in building out this vision for distributing 3D printable objects. The role requires knowledge in python and C++. You will also closely work with full-stack web developers to implement solutions into the platform (so an interest or knowledge in web technologies is a bonus).

Operations team - Open positions
DIGITAL MARKETER (FULL TIME)
MyMiniFactory today has a big focus on online marketing. You'll need to be digitally native and familiar or very quickly up-to-speed with tools such as Mailchimp, twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Depending on projects, you might need to create copy, photo or video content, work with designers to coordinate projects, get involved on client projects, etc. You'll be working closely with the rest of the team. This is a great position to grow with the Operations team.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (FULL TIME)
MyMiniFactory is looking for a Business Development candidate to join the team. The focus of this position is to help brands and product companies make the move to 3D printable content, by tapping into our community of talented 3D designers (references include: Google, Parrot, pebble, Bethesda, Autodesk, Playstation, etc.). Most product categories you can think of will be disrupted by consumer 3D printing, and MyMiniFactory is in a unique position to become the partner of choice of established brands, as well as innovative product startups.
You will be developing the business and new projects by communicating the value propositions directly to prospects. The candidates will need to be passionate about delivering the potential of consumer 3D printing, which will translate in confidence when approaching, pitching and closing deals. You will need to articulate the propositions effectively and manage the sales process, from cold call through to closing of the deal.
The candidate must be highly ambitious and determined to succeed, eager to join a growing business with global ambitions.
MARKETING ASSISTANT (INTERNSHIP)
MyMiniFactory is looking for a talented marketing intern. We won't expect you to be an expert on 3D printing, but instead to have a passion for marketing, very good common sense, wanting to learn new skills, a will to work in a start-up team looking to get things done. You'll work on social media, PR, ad hoc projects, design competitions, and anything else you show talent for. For you, "no" is not an answer and you appreciate challenges. We're a digital platform, so we expect you to be digitally savvy as well. Either self-taught (for example though entrepreneurial projects) or with a formal marketing education (for example from a business school or university), you show the attitude necessary to benefit truly from an experience in a fast moving start-up. You will need to have the right to be in the UK. The duration of the internship is flexible, so is the start date (we're looking for the right candidates). A passion for one of the popular categories of content on MyMiniFactory is a bonus (you can find the ranking of popular categories in our latest 3D Printing Content Trends Report).
Our headquarters are located in East London (1st floor, 104 Cavell Street, London, E1 2JA, United Kingdom), in the heart of London's Tech City and Maker Mile. We share offices with other 3D printing companies, including sister company iMakr, guaranteeing that the office is always full of 3D printers.
