This object as been designed by Sébastien Juishomme for the mechanical theme of the Sinterit design challenge.
This is a mechanical pliers designed to be mounted on a D-shaft Nema17 stepper motor. It can be mounted on a robotic arm for exemple, to grab some little pieces, or, why not? to make a 3D printer autonomous. You can use 4 M5x12 bolt to mount any extension on the jaws of the pliers to grab any piece you want. An exemple extension is included in the model. The rest of the model is made to be printed in one piece on the Sinterit Lisa, and is composed of the body, two jaws, and one screw and nut actionned by the motor to move the jaws.
As it is design to be printed on an SLS machine, tolerances as been included in the design according to the 3DHubs SLS printing guide. Evacuation holes has also been included to evacuate any powder stuck between two parts.
