This is a remix of Stu's (@_cruorvult) paint rack design.
I really liked the idea of stacking multiple trays to built a bigger unit. The only problem I had with it was the time it would take to print even a single one of the racks.
So I went with the basic idea but proceeded to reduce wall thicknesses as far as possible and optimie the contours for reduced travel intervals.
The result are racks with mostly 0,8mm walls, no infill, and cuts in the vertical dividers so as to make bigger, continuous contours for the nozzle to follow.
One Paint Rack as shown consists of two of the "Paint-Rack_6x5" parts, as well as one of each Foot parts.
The parts can be printed flat, without supports and have dimensions optimized for 0,28mm layer height.
Once printed, the parts will need to be glued together.
I have, for now, included two versions:
The "no pins" version is the one shown in the pictures. It is funtional but all parts will need to be clamped securely in place while the glue/epoxy sets.
The "pins" version comes with (you guessed it) pins in the Foot parts and corresponding holes in the sides of the rack parts to align the pieces before gluing.
The rack will take vallejo 17ml paint bottles with some wiggle room. For those wondering if their specific brand of bottle will fit, as well, I have included a picture with the dimensions of each cubicle.

Printed on Elegoo Neptune 2S using Polyterra PLA (black then blue... gotta love big prints to clear out filament left overs)
