Awesome sculpt! Painting it was very fun and assembly was decent (parts fit together pretty well without too many visible seams.
I do not think it was sculpted with the intent for 3D printing though, sadly. Pre-supports failed over and over, so I went to support it myself and found that a ton of the scales on the underside of the model (that I don't mind scarring with supports) have little bumps sculpted in to them. I'm not sure if this is a snake thing, or just a sculpt choice, but what it means in practice is SO MANY tiny supports to catch every little island. The tongues are awesome, but very thin and fragile. Easy to break off even when being careful. It's a showpiece though and definitely worth the hard work to get it just right. The 5e rules and stats that come with it are also awesome.
Printing it all in one piece would be the best way to go if I do it again, which a solid version is included. Supports would still be a bear though, but you'd avoid the seam lines.
Didn't print the accompanying base. Tried and just couldn't get it done in time, so I made my own plain black version. The text on the bottom of the base is annoying to support, wish it was just flat so I didn't have to worry about islands there either- that'd be cool.
tl;dr Absolutely worth it and very fun to paint, but know that if the pre-supports don't work for you, you're in for a serious amount of futzing to properly support this model without failures.
Paint Recipe: Zenithal prime with Citadel Wraithbone top coat, skeleton horde contrast wash the entire model, dry brush with Vallejo Pale Sand, Aethermatic blue contrast for the eyes, Black Templar Contrast for the tongues and black stripes, Vallejo Ivory in the mouths and tail stripes, Snakebite Leather Contrast for the rattle and pattern/spots/under the eyes, Voluptuous Pink Contrast in the mouth followed by a light pink dry brush.
Printed on an Epax E6 using Anycubic Standard Gray, not listed in the dropdown menu.
