Dies ist ein Adaptereinsatz, um eine alte Duplexbatterie unauffällig mit einer CR123-Batterie zu ersetzen.

Neben dem Adapter würd benötigt:

• die Hülse einer Duplexbatterie (Typ 2R10)
• eine Flaschkopfschraube M4x40, am besten aus Messing
• eine Sechskantmutter M4, ebenfalls bevorzugt aus Messing
• zwei M4-Unterlegscheiben (Dicke 0,8mm, z.B DIN 125)

Montage:

• aus der Duplexbatterie die beiden Zellen entfernen, dabei die Hülse nicht beschädigen.
• Die Schraube zunächst verkehrt herum (Schraubenkopf nach innen) in den gedruckten Adapter einsetzen.
• Unterlegscheiben und Mutter aufsetzen und festziehen.
• Überstand der Schraube markieren
• Zerlegen und die Schraube so kürzen, daß sie am Ende nicht ganz aus der Mutter herausguckt.
• Nun die Mutter in die Aussparung innen im Adapter einlegen, die beiden Unterlegscheiben auf die Schraube stecken und die Schraube wie im Bild von außen nach innen in den Adapter einführen und festziehen.
• Dann den Adapter in die Hülse drücken.

Nun kann man eine CR123-Batterie in den Adapter einlegen und hat einen zukunftssicheren Ersatz für sein Gerät, den man nicht als solchen erkennt.

This is an adapter insert to replace an old duplex battery invisibly with a CR123 battery.

In addition to the adapter, the following parts are required:

• the sleeve of a duplex battery (type 2R10)
• a slotted flat head screw M4x40, preferably made of brass
• a hexagon nut M4, also preferably made of brass
• two M4 washers (thickness 0.8mm, e.g. DIN 125)

Assembly:

• Remove the two cells from the duplex battery, do not damage the sleeve.
• First insert the screw upside down (screw head inwards) into the printed adapter.
• Put on washers and nut and tighten.
• Mark the protrusion of the screw over the nut
• Disassemble and shorten the screw so that it does not protrude over the nut at the end.
• Now insert the nut into the recess inside the adapter, put the two washers on the screw and insert the screw into the adapter from the outside to the inside as shown in the picture and tighten it.
• Finally, press the adapter into the sleeve.

Now you can insert a CR123 battery into the adapter and have a future-proof replacement for your device that you won't recognise as such.
