I made these specifically with the "black powder" game Sludge Wargame in mind, but there are a number of places you'd be able to use them. There is a new Napoleonic wars era Silver Bayonet game is coming out as well plus any regular black power/napoleonic war type games in 28/32mm
The Gabion is a type of makeshift defensive structure made by weaving between upright sticks in a circle and filling it with rocks and dirt. It made for an effective barrier for when guns were not super powerful as they are in modern times. They were used in a number of historical wars because they were easy to make, and effective for the time.
