This is a bracket used to mount the extruder directly over the cooling block. The unit uses the X axis bushings as the mounting points for the bracket and has a support section underneath the extruder motor mount to support the additional weight of the motor.
This unit is intended only for the Creality Ender 3 or Ender 3 Pro that uses the stamped metal fan mounts. The stamped metal fan mount is used to support the extruder motor.
I wanted a solid, firm, mount for the motor that would not vibrate. I cannot guarantee that there will be no vibration of course, but every effort has been made to make this as easy direct drive conversion that will be sturdy and solid.
Print at 0.2mm resolution with 50% infill using cubic or gyroid infill for stiffness. A raft may be needed depending upon the stickiness of your print surface. Position the object so that it rests on the angled support for the extruder motor for best speed and no need for supports.
The unit uses the X axis bushings for support and thus requires a tight fit. This has been tested multiple times. Also, the unit uses the stock Ender 3 fan cover as a support point to rest on to more firmly support the weight of the extruder motor.
