Description
A collection of tabletop miniatures inspired by prehistoric plants. Scaled for 28/32mm but with plenty of detail to print much larger if you like.
- Five detailed Williamsonia plants. Slender, fern-like foliage on chunky patterned trunks.
- Ten small Balanaphora plants. These are parasitic plants that can still be found today in tropical climates.
- Modular Lepidodendron "Tree". These big boys grew to over 100 feet in just two years. The foliage was like a proto-pine needle. Six bases and four tops will make for a lot of variations. I also included thinner versions of the foliage pieces that are a more difficult to support and print.
There are a lot of supports in a small space on some of the balanaphora and lepidodenron pieces. I soaked a test batch in hot water before removing the supports and they came away easily. If you try this don't forget to leave the water out in the sun to cure the resin, then filter before discarding. These are actually easier to print in the 30 to 60 mm tall range, the supports would not be so crowded. Print the Balanapora larger for easier printing.
