Description
A medium sized amphibious insectoid predator based on the design of a giant waterbug mounted on a 1 inch base of elevated earth and leaf litter
- Quietly slipping under the lily-pad covered surface, water slides of its slick dark carapace as the wrakis stealthy approaches its prey. A
long fluted extension of its abdomen continues taking in oxygen as it waits unmoving for a moment to strike. As a large murrow swims
by unaware, scythe-like forelimbs slash out to grip the large fish as it plunges its proboscis deep into the scaled body, unleashing a
torrent of digestive fluids to quickly dissolve the unfortunate fish’s interior into a fleshy pulp. At six feet long the large insect is far from
the apex predator within any given region, but with its ability to hunt anywhere from the dark confines of the blackwells to beneath the
roots of the woodlands to the salt water coasts allows this arthropod to be found waiting to strike from many dark crevice.
