The Commander Hub holds 100 sleeved cards with a magnetically locking latch. Inside the doors is a tray for your commander with D20 dice slots for life, damage and commander tax. If you wish to make your own version of the tray, a set of blank tiles are available here: https://www.printables.com/model/409299-commander-tray-for-command-hub-deck-box-blank-temp
Update v1.1, 12/08/23:
- Increased size by ~5mm to give more space for double sleeved cards.
- Improved the lock mechanism, particularly for the door opposite the lock door.
- I'm also leaving the old design up in case people want the smaller box option.
The STL files also include blank doors, and doors with dice slots similar to the commander tray.
To assemble:
• With each door in its open position, click the doors into position by sliding the pivot pins into the pivot holes.
• Glue two 10x3 magnets in the magnet hole in the top of the door with the latch.
• Glue the third magnet into the magnet hole in the lock, making sure it is attracted to the magnets in the door.
• Secure the lock into position on the door latch using the lock screw. The screw thread is designed to be tight so that it can't come loose over time. You may need to screw it a few times to wear in the threads. If it's too tight a fit, scale down the lock screw slightly in X and Y.
• Each 4x2mm magnet is just pressfit into position (I use small pliers). Make sure each magnet is facing the right way before pushing it into position.
Printing details:
• No support required, but you may want some support under the hexagon handles in the lock.
• As with my other designs, this print requires a well calibrated printer. I recommend the use of something like this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1622868 to check for over/under extrusion.
• Use a 0.4mm nozzle. Smaller may work, but larger may mess up the small magnet holes.
• Internal dimensions: 77x77x100 (73.4x73.4x98.3 if using the card holder insert)
• External dimensions: 93x93x112.5
• Weight ~200 gm
• Hardware: 3 of 10mm diameter x 3mm thick cylindrical magnets. 12 of 4mm diameter x 2mm thick magnets.
