A small village perched on a giant tree (65x43x47cm), seven houses , an observatory and a single-seat armored airship.
from my Kickstarter campaign tree village:
It is about 285 pieces very easy to print, I divided the model into as many parts as possible to reduce printing times and supports, the interlocking system of the pieces is either openLOCK or with simple pins. The necessary supports are reduced to the essential, many pieces are free supports. I printed everything with an Ender 3, white geetech pla, 0.2mm layer, Cura slicer. The weight of the whole model is about 3kg.
The model scale is already set for 28mm miniatures.
I highly recommend the use of printers with a print bed of at least 20x20x20 cm (for this scale).
All files are already oriented for an optimal print. The catwalks use a real 3mm rope. Many parts are movable
A pdf tutorial is included for all print setups, assembly and tricks.
A pdf tutorial on how to paint the tree is included, including photos.

My settings
- Nozzle 0,4mm
- Pla 1,75mm
- Layer 0,2mm
- 5% infill
- Walls 1mm
- Support overhang angle from 80° to 86° (depend by the model)
- Support Z distance 0,3
To reduce the supports to the maximum I printed everything with an overhang between 80° - 86 °,
even if the supports are generally few and sometimes absent, you must leave the "generate supports" option in your slicer always active to allow those small parts need to be supported to print well.
I found the "support Z distance " setting in the supports section very important, because it allows us to distance the top of the support from the model a bit (my value 0.3mm)
