Space Wreck: 3D Printable Boarding Actions Terrain Set

This is part of the Spacewreck modular Spaceship Terrain. Check the rest of available files in the Terrain set Collection.

I am thrilled to bring you this terrain set, designed to be compatible with the new Boarding Actions game mode for Warhammer 40k, but also with other game systems such as Killteam, Warcry, or dungeon based RPGs such as DnD or Rogue trader.

The terrain is comprised of a set of walls, pillars and detail pieces, that connect using a calibrated sliding joint, and allow for the creation of modular maps following a 4x4 inches grid, suitable to recreate the grimdark atmosphere of the intricate abandoned corridors of a derelict gothic spaceship. 

I know this design is NOT the most detailed out there. There are a couple of artists that have sucessfully reproduced GW joint system and level of detail... But those designs were not thougt for the needs of filament printers, nor with economy and ease of print in mind.

The Boarding Actions or Killteam terrain consists of a LOT of pieces of terrain. If you try to print all that in resin, you are going to feel it in your bags. This terrain set prints in about 70h in my BambuLab P1P, and eats up 1.4kg of PLA (roughly 23€ for me).

I believe that my boarding actions terrain design is one the cheapest to print out there, and strikes a nice balance of printability, time and material savings, and nice aesthetic vibe.

As this was part of a Kickstarter Campaign, I also have plenty more desings available through the MMF Late Pledges Manager if you prefer to get your files in nice bundles!

Infermeries can still be found in some of the Space Wrecks, although they are often barely functioning due to the harsh conditions of space and the passage of time. These medical facilities were once responsible for monitoring the crew's health and well-being and contain advanced medical equipment that can detect and diagnose a wide range of medical conditions, as well as track the vital signs of the crew.

The old spaceships sometimes have still functioning archaic monitoring systems. Raiding parties sometimes use the access nodes of these terminals to gather information about living threats inside the hull of the Spacewreck, or extract valuable information such as the Manifest of the ship.

These ships were used to transport living organisms, and such organisms require to alleviate certain... needs. The toilet facilities, or 'heads,' are critical to the health and well-being of any crew, and are typically located in a central part of the ship for easy access.

Flesh out your wargames with these detailed interactive objective markers: two removable antennas can be used to indicate the completion of an action for a mission, or the iniciation and completion of an action.

Alternitavely, you can print the 1 part option, included in the files!

Those privateers left in a hurry. There are ammo crates everywhere! Or were they used as improvised barricades?

Flesh out your battlefields with these ammo crates, suitable for 28mm and 32mm scale!

These improvised barricades convey light cover elements for your troops to crouch and shoot from, or defensible positions from withc to brace for an enemy charge.

A quality of life item: with a print of this gaming mat, you wont need get the measuring tape everytime you set up your Space Wreck or Boarding actions terrain.

This map comes with precise markings for positioning of terrain pieces, with paneling moduled to increases of 1 and 4 inches. The playable area 28x48 inches, the total Print Size is 55 x 31.5 inches (or roughly 80 x 139 cm) . Any printshop should be able to print it in regular paper, but check printing solutions in Vinyl to get a water-proof mat.

EDIT: included a reduced version for the Killteam game mat!

With these Capture Area indicators you can premeasure distances to and from the objective Markers in your wargames.

File contains three printing options. A 3 inch print in place objective marker, a 3 inch 3-part objective marker and a 1 inch objective marker suitable for small scale games such as Boarding Actions.

These are the calibration files you need to print in order to sellect what set of files you are going to print.

You'll need to calibrate your printer to the best of your hablilites, then print this file, and select witch of the two modes (LOOSE or TIGHT) fits better your current print settings.

As long as nothing changes (humidity, material, print condition) you will be able to print new pieces for the set knowing for sure that they will fit with the rest of your terrain pieces.

In the event of an emergency, the Health Monitoring Station can provide life-saving medical care and stabilize injured crew members until they can be transported to a more fully-equipped medical facility.

They are heat exchangers that use leftover heat from other processes on the spaceship and redirect it to another heat exchanger, where the heat is transferred to cold water or other fluids for storage or usage. In some cases, hostile boarding parties may attempt to hack into these systems and use the redirected heat as a weapon against their enemies.
