3d filament swatch to evaluate 3d printed colors
At ColoriLAB, we love 3d filament colors and visual effects!
We know how confusing selecting a specific filament colour can get.
This filament color swatch is designed to highlight how the filament will look over various surface shapes:
Convex,
Concave,
Planar,
Various thicknesses,
Text accuracy,
Testing the surface ironing feature,
from your various print setting tests, etc.
• 3d printing temperature
This 3d filament color swatch is great for color and look variations from different printing temperatures.
(Some print temp will provide a matte 3d printed object look, while another temp will show a glossy 3d print.)
• 3d printing speed
Such color swatches are also highly useful for color and look variations generated from different printing feed rates.
• Layer thickness:
0.1mm is suggested.
(However, it is best practice to 3d print this 3d filament color swatch with the same settings as your final 3d print.)
• Infill
To study the translucency and transparency of the material, set infill to a fully solid 100% setting.
(This is also great to study any infill look as well as different wall and top/bottom surface thicknesses appearance.)
