I'm posting some of my older Black Widow cosplay prop 3D models this spring. Who knows, maybe you need to travel back to 2012 and blend in, so this belt buckle could come in handy?
Unlike most cosplay prop buckles, this is fully functional, although quite simple in design. The main part is split into three different STL files, to make it easier to paint it. You'll need a bit of glue to put the pieces together.
The belt width should be 50mm (2"). The belt shown in the photos was made from black spacer mesh fabric (an excellent material choice for the 2012 jumpsuit).
Remember to like and follow - I have more of my previously unreleased Black Widow 2012 prop models coming soon.
Print with the flat sides down. The silver part will require some support material, although if your printer is extremely good at bridging, you might be able to do without. If you hae a multimaterial printer, you may be able to print the red, black and silver parts in one go, although you will probably use more material that way.
You may want to use a finer layer height for the red part to get a smooth slope. 0.2mm layer height should be fine for all the other parts.
I used ABS for the silver part and the insert, but other materials may work too. Just be aware that the insert needs to bend slightly and that the silver part should be printed in a material with good layer adhesion and strength.
