Hey everyone!
The Adorable HoneyBee! 🐝 It's a mostly print-in-place design, making printing a breeze. Crafting this little buddy was a joy, and I can't wait for you to print your own!
I've included pre-painted 3MF files to make printing smoother. You might need to tweak the wing size a bit, around 1 percent, for perfection. But trust me, it's worth it! 🐝
When assembling, remember to keep the wing's bottom surface up while snapping it with the body. Check the images for reference. Once snapped, avoid detaching the wings to prevent joint breakage.
For filament, PLA+ is perfect for durability. Avoid silk filament; it's delicate. I used Numakers Filaments for this project: Link

For optimal results, follow these settings:
Layer height: 0.16mm to 0.18mm
Wall count: 2
Bottom layers: 4
Top layers: 5
Infill: 15%
Downscaling: 100% > 80% (To avoid artifacts in multicolor printing, It is recommended to set the Slice Gap Closing Radius to 0.006 - 0.008 while Downscaling)

Had to increase the purge from black to yellow to avoid bleed. Printed using bambu pla basic using 0.12mm high quality setting. Turned out fantastic. Scaled another up 150% to fill the build plate. Just started the print. I will let you know how it turns out. These are all going to hang from trees in a community garden. Drilled a small hole between the wings to thread fishing line. This is the centre of gravity so it hangs correctly. Thanks so much artflex. Really pleased with it.
