Description
The Folding Box Calibration Cube is specifically designed for testing and benchmarking 3D printers as well as a tool to help fine tune print settings. Print without supports and see what your printer can do and where it could improve. Design is based off of the Protolabs injection molded folding box.

Issues I had Previously:
Cr10
- Tollerances too tight
- Fixed by adjusting bed, lowering x/y speed in S3D, first layer extrusion height to 115% & width to 95%.
- Minor surface pillowing/ lifting on first layer
- Fixed by adjusting bed, first layer extrusion height to 115% & width to 95%.
- Small Features
- Fixed by lowering Minimum extrusion length, upping perimeter overlap, & changing thinwall type to single extrusion fill.
- Retraction
- Fixed in S3d by turning on wipe nozzle, minimum travel, retraction during wipe movement, & avoid crossing outline. Turned off retract over open spaces.
- Ringing/Vibration
- Tighten screws on extruder carriage. Lower x/y speed movement in S3D.
Wanhao Duplicator I3
- Unexplained underextrusion
- Fixed by lowering x/y/z speed movement in S3D.
- Fan speed droped from 100% to 75%. Previously installed fan upgrade. Was causing nozzle to fluctuate too much in temp.
Powerspec Ultra
- Unexplained underextrusion
- Fixed by lowering x/y/z speed movement in S3D
Raise3D
- Small Features
- Fixed by lowering Minimum extrusion length & upping perimeter overlap.

On a totally stock CR-10. A bit stringy, but that’s due to this filament.
