Description
This statue was found at Epidauros.
The goddess is depicted leaning forwards to feed the snake, the symbol of Asklepios and of Hygieia herself, part of which is preserved next to her left leg. The sculpture, with its bold movement, is attributed to the sculptor Timotheos.
