Description
This sculpture was probably used as a gable of a tabernacle (a portable dwelling of God, as described in the Bible), the treetop was added. The coat of arms belongs to the Della Rovere family, a noble Italian family. Two prominent popes were of the della Rovere family, one of which, Pope Sixtus IV, built the Sistine Chapel.
