Brave Sun - Starship Miniatures

Want to start playing Brave Sun? You'll need these tokens and maneuver tracks! The tracks turn 90° in either direction, and the tokens represent status effects and other factors in the game such as damage, defense, and more.

Everything comes presupported with .STL and .LYS versions. Unsupported models are also included.

What else do I need in order to play Brave Sun?

You'll need a standard ruler or tape measure, and some bases that have the Brave Sun ship stats on them. These Brave Sun ships are designed for each of those bases and use the Twist Lock Rod system. Or, you could even use the Twist Lock Rod adaptors to put your own ships on top of the Brave Sun bases!

You'll also need the Brave Sun Admiral Training Manual which will teach you how to be build and command a fleet of ships in the Brave Sun Starship Miniatures Combat System.

A pack of asteroids, a comsat, and mines designed for the Brave Sun Starship Miniatures combat system. These could easily be used for other starship based games and systems, such as Firestorm Armada, Full Thrust, Starfinder, and more.

There are versions of each model with and without rod holes, and everything comes presupported, and there are unsupported versions of each model, too. Presupported versions are in .STL and .LYS format (Lychee, which is a great slicer for both FDM and SLA).

This product includes custom Brave Sun bases for the Mines and Asteroids showing their stats and with 1/2" front and back guides in case you want them to move around during battle.

The versions with rod holes are Twist Lock Rod Compatible, which is a new system that is easy to print and allows you to twist the models and base onto the rod so that they stay in place without the need for glue or magnets. We recommend printing these ships at about a 45° to 55° degree angle, with the front end of the ship facing upward, and the bottom of the ship facing the build plate for the best quality. Some parts of these ships (some of the guns) are relatively thin, so remove supports with care.

There are a variety of options out there for standing your models, but none as simple as the Twist Lock Rod system - Just 3D print, twist on, and you're ready to go! Want to put your fleet away? Just twist the other direction and pull, and you can keep your ships, rods, and bases separate, making them easy to store and carry.

No clumps of magnetic rods, or permanently gluing your ships onto their stands necessary.

All files come presupported including .STL and .LYS versions. The unsupported .STLs are also included if you prefer to create your own supports.

Keep the orientation of the adaptor in mind, we recommend placing the adaptor so that the long side of the "Twist Lock Rod Hole" aligns with the length of the ship, front-to-back. (Parallel, not perpendicular)

The Rods don't wear out as quickly as you'd expect thanks to the well-tested tolerances. But if they do wear out, all you need to do is print some new rods and you're good to go!
