This package doesn't include the decoration panels that are sold separately.

see more info : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wargname/painter-s-fortress

Painter's Fortress is a 3D printable solution to all your painting gears storage. It has all the painting storage you can expect from a paint station, and his thought to be:

  • Complete
  • sturdy
  • fashionable
  • fully modulable
  • support free
  • Optimized for no PLA Waste!

Is it sturdy??

All parts are 4mm thick (we've been trying everything from 2mm to 6mm, and 4mm has proven to be the perfect ratio). Assembly is made with a hammer, to be sure all is nicely connected.

We made a lot of tests to define also what would be the best structure for the walls, to ensure sturdiness, but also to limit the quantity of PLA used. We also wanted to keep the nice look of it all. And this is all you get.

Is it functionnal?

We tested every part to check if it was acting as desired. The drawers slide well, are optimized to ensure that you can put inside as many stuff as possible, and also we add the opportunity to change your level regarding what you want to put inside the drawers, to ensure that you can fill them as much as possible - no space lost.

We also did opening/close tests, removing/adding space, to be sure it all goes smoothly. I think I never spent more time in my life crash testing a thing I 3D printed!

What is supported:

We tried to take all major paints into account. There are:

Space Gothic terrain for your miniatures!

Evil beyond Space - is a terrain set representing a fully modular desecrated space station in a far future, with gothic and death vibes.

By backing this kickstarter, you will get that INCREDIBLE terrain set built on 32mm standards!
Humanity has spent most of its existence fighting itself. Now that our ressources have reached an end, unity finally came.  Most people thought that advanced civilization will reach a point where everyone will enjoy peace before being able to do space travel, and the Idea of an Ark of peace began.

It was a naive thinking from a society that didn't encounter any exterior threats for a long time.

One thousand years later, after 4 encounters of the 3rd kind, humanity had evolved.

But what came back with the Ark was a mimic of humanity torn backward. A Hive mind collective decided that Earth was a threat to their harvest plans, and decided to eradicate it .

Some parts will be presupported, others can be printed flat on a normal SLA printer (anycubic photon, elegoo mars 2, phrozen sonic mini...)

As you can see from different angles, the assembly of the parts is very simple. You take one or many floor parts, you take walls cores, inside and outside panels and railing.

After that, it's a hard choice: putting 4x2mm round magnets or little plastic sliders, and assembling all together.

This set up presents 2 advantages:

First, you can make a lot of different combinations to match your needs
Second, you can print some parts in PLA "middle part", while printing only the panels in resin, thus using far less resin in the process.

The Set includes everything to play.

The possibilities are HUGE!

 The story behind everything

Hi, My name is Alex, and this is my favorite project.

Few years ago, because I couldn't find affordable generic nameplates for my miniatures, I started selling nameplates on Kickstarter under the Warg'Name brand.

My will at first was to provide to the community affordable and easy to print by yourselves nameplates for the games who require generic tagging : Bloodbowl, Warcry, Warhammer Quest... And to help some makers adding a personal touch to their project (see Greg Kourakos' 2 kickstarters, Wukong and Pit Fighter)

After a year, I felt greatly dissatisfied.

I kept receiving demands for specific nameplates, and also it still took me a very long time to make all the nameplates for the games, because of the different sizes, the different designs, the different fonts... And mostly because people wanted their mini to be unique (Like I do myself!)

How to solve that?

The answer came from Greg Kourakos and some of my resellers.

Alex, you should stop selling nameplates, but sell templates so that people can make their own nameplates!

And here we are.

What is a nameplate?

Well, while preparing everything, we wondered if everyone might be familiar with nameplates. So this is our 2 cents about it.

Nameplates are little plates that can be flat or curved, made of resin, that you put in front of your miniature base. they are mostly the same height or a little more than the base, and if done well, they follow the base perfectly.

The size of the nameplate is mostly separated between those : a little less than 90° of the base, a little more than 90° of the base, almost 180° or a full ring.

We decided to base our nameplates on around 135° arc.

How complex is it to use?

I will not lie to you : it's not a 2 clics nameplate generator. It's more like a 10-20 clics nameplate maker.

I will basically provide you everything until the very last step so that you can make nameplates with blender. Once the software installed, you will just have to:

  •  choose your nameplate style
  • choose your greeblies
  • choose your text,
  • choose your font,
  • and export. done.

For most nameplates, you don't need to learn anything. Just follow the provided guide. For some advanced models (like carved ones) there are 4-5 more steps and really easy  tricks to follow.

I wanted to make a video to show how it works, but Ben, from the Bonehead Podcast, was faster than me:

That's it.
