Futakuchi-Onna: Your Naughty Halloween-themed STL Yokai

Trick Or Treat? According to Japanese folklore, the Futakuchi-Onna, one of the most-loved yokai, is a two-mouthed monstrous woman!

Trick Or Treat? According to Japanese folklore, the Futakuchi-Onna, one of the most-loved yokai, is a two-mouthed monstrous woman!

You'll find a couple of different legends about Futakuchi-Onna's origins; here's our favorite one, from Yokai.com (written by Matthew Meyer):

"A story tells of a wicked stepmother who always gave plenty of food to her own daughter, but never enough to her stepdaughter. Gradually the stepdaughter grew sicker and sicker until she starved to death. Forty-nine days later, the wicked stepmother was afflicted with a terrible headache. The back of her head split open, and lips, teeth, and a tongue formed. This new mouth ached with debilitating pain until it was fed, and it shrieked in the voice of the dead stepdaughter. From then on the stepmother always had to feed both of her mouths, and always felt the hunger pangs of the stepdaughter she murdered."

Cool, isn't it? Well, Halloween is on its way, so we decided to sculpt a naughty version of this super-interesting figure; hope you'll like her!

The round base diameter is about 8 cm, while the figure is around 15 cm tall.
