The Mimic Deck Box

We play a lot of card games here at Unnatural 20 Art. But transporting cards to your local game store has always been a boring endeavor, until now! Our latest functional art offering is the Mimic Deck Box, a unique card storage box with a hidden token compartment. 

We designed this box to be as functional as it is toothy. 

    -Fits 100x double sleeved, standard sized trading cards (think Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, YuGiOh, etc)
    -Hidden, magnetically closed compartment in the base for dice, coins, or tokens 
    -Box stays closed using four super strong neodymium magnets (see Magnet Specs for purchasing recommendations)
    -Made of durable resin and coated in a high strength clear coat to withstand normal wear and tear.

   - Exterior: 5"x3.5"x3.5" (130mmx90mmx90mm) 
    -Interior: 3.7"x2.7"x2.7" (94mmx69mmx69mm)
    -Token Compartment: 0.9"x2.5"x2.5" (23mmx64mmx64mm)

We are offering the box as a downloadable STL file for those DIYers that want to print and paint their own Mimic Deck Box! 

    -Supported and Unsupported versions of the STL will be available
    -This STL is a personal use license to print your own deck boxes! Full linsence terms can be found on MMF
    -The box dimensions are 5"x3.5"x3.5" (130mmx90mmx90mm), which is just a bit too big to fit on an Elegoo Mars or similar resin printers, but the larger models (Saturn, Phrozen, etc) have plenty of room. 
    -The token compartment uses 3mmx1mm magnets (4x in the lid and 4x in the base). The bar magnets for the main box closures are 10mmx3mmx3mm and we use 8x of those.

We are Unnatural 20 Art, made up of artists Karl Payne and Danielle  Hurley. We are a pair of Portland-based artists who specialize in  fantastical, nerd-culture creations, and love designing off-the-wall  artwork! Since late 2020, Unnatural 20 Art has run and fulfilled two successful Kickstarters, launching our little  idea into a full-time studio. With over 15 years of combined experience  in the entertainment and art world, we thrive on creating things no one  has seen before, using a blend of traditional and modern techniques.
