Based on the 12th dynasty tomb of Khnumhotep I from Beni Hassan Egypt, showing a group of Asiatic warriors, this sculpture offers a glimpse into the world of the Middle Bronze Age Levantine culture.
Ready to strike, the Slinger wears what is believed to be an “ammo” bag, along with clothing from the period.
Included is a PDF Research Primer and Paint Tutorial that delves into the history (Greg Iocco), research (Travis Wilson), and a paint tutorial (Fabio Ricci).
Each part is presupported, test printed, and examined for resin traps.
- 1/6 Scale - parts are strategically divided, hollowed and keyed. They fit on a Sonic Mini 8K
- 75mm (1:24 scale) - characters are whole and solid
- 32mm (1:57 scale) - characters are whole, solid, and modified to read better at small scale.
Printing Tips
Half of the files say "supported" in the file name, if pre-supported is desired.
The bust is sliced into multiple pieces so that the supported areas can be kept off the final viewed surface as much as possible. A little clean-up on those back sides will help parts to come together tightly.
For registration, instead of pyramid keys, we use pegs. These pegs are a separate part with several pegs in a row which can be cut into individual pegs once printed. The beauty of this connecting system is it gives you more control when fitting pieces back together since slight shifting or distortion in the printer can cause slight deformations and render traditional keys useless. The pegs allow you to sand each part, slide your pegs in and glue. If there's deformation in your print where the peg holes are, it's also easy to just drill out the hole.

Happy printing!
