¡Bienvenidos a CDMX!
As a homage to Mexico's capital city, MiniWorld 3D brings the most complete collection of its landmarks and famous buildings! This project is huge so we'll break it in parts, each containing a few buildings following a theme.
Part 6 is Chapultepec , an immense park within the city that is home to the zoo, many museums, monuments, and one of the most remarkable landmarks: the Castle of Chaputepec.
El Castillo de Chapultepec is the only properly named "castle" in the Americas. It was built in 1785 atop of the hill that gives the castle and park its name (Hill of the Grasshopper in Nahuatl). It has been residence to Emperors such as Maximillian of Habsburg, and the setting for one of the most important battles in the Mexican-American war in 1847, when it was a military academy under siege by American forces.
The US forces took the castle and the city, the young cadets died heroically defending it. Mexico honors their sacrifice with a monument of six marble columns at the foot of the Hill built in 1952, el Monumento a los Niños Héroes.
Lastly, a much more recent landmark is a 100 m tall monument built in 2011 to commemorate the Bicentennial of Mexico's Independence, la Estela de Luz (Stele of Light). It is placed right between the Chapultepec park, below the Castle and Monument, and right at the beginning of the Reforma Avenue, directly in front of the Reforma Giant buildings of Torre BBVA, Torre Mayor, and Torre Reforma.

Note that all the models in the Mexico City series are in scale to each other, so you can compare their heights and sizes!
MiniWorld 3D is happy to bring these models to life and a smile to all residents of Mexico City! MiniWorld 3D is the collection of 3D printable landmarks and models of the world! All our models are made from scratch by hand and brain, please give credit to all authors.
The Castle has an arched underside to save material and does not need supports. Any overhangs will be hidden.
The Stele comes in two parts and prints flat. No supports. Simply insert it on the base to assemble.
The Monument needs to be printed slow and with great cooling. Due to the scale we're using, it is very small.
