It is best to print mid parts with supports. I printed all parts with 3 walls. The bottom and mid parts should be printed with ample infill for strength.
The easiest way to construct is the following:
1. Sand the mating surfaces of all parts rough.
2. With epoxy, glue top halves together and bottom halves together.
3. Sand the pegs as needed to fit the mid halves over the top and bottom parts. Note that the mid parts fit only in one way.
4. Glue the whole staff together using epoxy.
5. Sand and paint as desired.
