Orb Amplifier for the 2 Way Orb Speaker

This is the (pretty basic but functional) amplifier unit for my Orb Speaker. The design matches what I tried to accomplish in the Orb Speaker design and allows you to hook up your iPod (or another device with a headphone jack) and play your tunes at at a considerable level through the Orb Speaker. ** you can of course also use any other speaker that is capable of running up to 12 Watts
The design centers around the Kemo M032 amplifier module. This is a pretty general purpose mono amp that comes ready to use moulded in a plastic block. All you need to do is hook it's 5 wires up to the speaker, a power supply and an input and it is ready to rock. The Kemo unit should be pretty much available around the world (if not in a shop then use eBay). The great thing about it is that it is pretty much fool proof and runs on a wide variety of voltage and impedance without the need for soldering components. And even more important - I tested the unit for half a day and it hardly raised in temperature, which is a great thing when mounting it in a PLA print. I did not add the volume control suggested in the documentation of the Kemo module but rather just use volume in my iPod
In my version I have used a stereo 3mm jack. I have soldered 2 1kOhm resistors to each of the stereo input channels and then ran those together to the mono input. I have designed the orb amp so the module easily fits in the "box". Use a 3.5mm stereo jack for the sound input, a 3.5mm mono jack to allow for a 12 volt power input and an RCA jack for the output. For the rest all you need is a few screws a screwdriver and a soldering iron and a bit of solder to make it all work!
I used .2mm resolution and printed in orange and black PLA. No need for supports, everything should print just fine without
