Simple to print, you dont need a multi colour AMS or MMU unit. All you need is black and white filament. This will print in any FDM printer capable of printing 0.08 layer height.
This filament painting is created with Steve Lavitas' brilliant Hueforge software. It creates beautiful colour 3D prints from images. Photos dont do justice to the prints, they have to be seen and felt to be appreciated. The original image was converted to black and white and optimised for Hueforge.
About The Model:
In the central focus of the composition of the STL, Lord Rama stands dignified, clad in a saffron dhoti and a royal blue angavastram, both modest and regal in appearance. His visage exudes a sense of wisdom and serenity, with discerning eyes and a calm, enigmatic smile. Lord Rama holds the Pinaka, Lord Shiva's bow, in his left hand, signifying his martial prowess and divine lineage. To the right of Lord Rama, Hanuman is portrayed with devotion in his gaze, standing as a symbol of unwavering loyalty. Below, a profile view of the Ayodhya Ram Temple is depicted. The temple showcases ornate architectural elements, including intricately carved pillars and spires, capturing the grandeur of this revered structure. Top left written in Hindi “Jai Shree Ram” (Glory to Respectful Lord Ram)
Printing Instructions:
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm
Filaments Used:
PLA+ Esun Black Transmission Distance: 2.6
PLA+ Esun White Transmission Distance: 10
Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #7 (0.64mm) swap to White for the rest.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For colour accuracy you will need to print with white filament with a Transmission Distance (TD) of 10. The TD of the black does'nt seem to matter. But dont worry, just use ESUN White and Black. I chose Esun because that brand seems to be universally available across the world. You will have the same result with ANY white filament with a TD of 10. To find the TD of your filament check out:
