When our nations water ways were developed, the natural habitat that housed the organisms that filtered the water was destroyed. By creating new habitats for the filter feeders, they can begin to colonize and restore our water.
This project began as a way to help clean pollutants out of the water and reduce the algae blooms that have been affecting the coast of Florida. By bringing the filter feeders back into the water ways, I hope to begin the process of restoring the water.
The blocks can be assembled in any number from just 1 to several hundred. The blocks printed in biodegradable PETG are environmental friendly and using PVC make for an inexpensive yet secure construction.
