PICO4 Gunstock
PICO4 Gunstock

This is an easy to print non-magnetic VR gunstock for the PICO 4 controllers. The controller holders slide on the stock and can be set at different positions using the removable peg. The centre positions work great for most weapons in Onward, Pavlov, and VAIL.
It has non-magnetic cups: you just slide the controllers out when you need to reload, etc. I found it pretty easy to learn how to do that without seeing them in VR.
This model shares the same base as my Reverb G2 gunstock, so you just need to print the controller holders if you already have that one.
2023-01-07 UPDATED to V1.1. Adjusted slots to make it easier to insert the controllers (as per remix by Brock123 from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5726735/files), smoothed out grip edges, changed controller angle to be more ergonomic. Added separate adjustable eylet to give an option to attach the strap behind the front controller.
The controller holders are printed at a 45° (as situated in the STL). This gives better strength and nearly eliminates the need for supports, but requires a raft to get good printer bed adhesion.
I used PLA (also PETG) with a 0.2 mm layer height, 1.2 mm walls and 30% infill. The joints between the gun stock sections (the non-movrable parts) should be glued and/or taped for added strength. Super Glue Gel works pretty well on PLA.
After using these for a few weeks I found the top of the grips are a bit brittle in PLA. I printed a new set in PETG and these are much more robust.
