This is Mood Lamp design for the ElectromakerKitsCompetition. This Mood Lamp is design to be a lamp and a kinectic desk toy if you blow on it it will spin like a real wind turbine.
This model if fairly simple to build, it can be all printed with no support. The only part needed is a small skateboard bearing. It can be found very easily on any old skateboard or buy for cheap at any sport resseller. This model can be made very easily.
The last piece you should print is the SpindleSpacer. It will go on the top of the LED holder and can be tune easily in the slicer to have a good fit between the LED holder, the rotor and the bearing. I also included a savonius lampshade wich is another fairly common VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine).
Get ready to make an awesome mood lamp and learn a bit more about wind turbine.
