×Pipe-gun Derrin6er for D6 Bullet Die
A Derringer revolver for the 'Bullet Dice by Jarhara Jai Arik'. I wanted a tiny revolver that didnt look too real to get in trouble at game shops and could hold the 'Bullet Dice'. I havent measured to see if the 'D6 Bullet Dice by Joshua Travis Horton' would fit into the revolving chamber but i left a little wiggle room, IDK if the lengths of the two are the same tho. As i was making it, it reminded me of some of the pipe-guns from fallout 4 or a steampunker's crazy side-arm.
I havent printed this yet so if u try it before i get to, ya might have to scale the gun body to 101%, my printer is off so maybe u wont have to, oh and the little hole where the hammer wouldve been is a 2mm hole that u can put a tiny piece of 1.75mm filament inside with one end melted a bit with a lighter so it makes a clicking revolver sound when u spin it and it can be replaced easily if it breaks off. The hole in the center is about 5mm, so find a spare M5x45ish bolt or something in the junk drawer, put a pen spring between nut & bolt to be able to use as the break action lever in most recovler snub nosed guns. Sorry for the winded explanation, insomnia sucks lol
5/21/20- i finally printed the revolver chamber and a bullet and it shouldve worked but it barely fit, this means we gotta scale up the chamber to IDK 102-103% scale, which means gun body must be equally scaled since i cant make the bullets tinier and since a painted bullet might have 2-3 coats of paint plus a coat of clear coat, so IDK, i was aiming to use as little plastic for this as possible, so if ya print wanna save plastic on this one just maybe print the revolving chamber at 105% or 107% since the chamber will have paint as well. skip the other parts if u want so ya can atleast have a cool place to put ur cool dice.
P.S. my printer has a .8 nozzle and it hasnt gone through rigorous calibration correction within the arduino config.h files, plus my x carriage is snapped in half and poorly superglued and zip tied together, so maybe if ur printer's good and calibrated it might work for u but u'd still have to scale up everything but the bullet dice to make room for a painted bullet dice to be inserted all the way into a painted revolving chamber, sorry again, rookie mistake lol
i'll be busy this week but ill try to upload mark II of this with all these problems in mind, but i u can use ur revolving chamber as a cool pencil/pen/sharpie/stylus holder
521/20- i might end up using this bullet dice 'D6 Bullet Dice by Joshua Travis Horton', i liked the lady's version of this bullet because of the roman numerals but since my printer is in shambles, the dude's dice with dotts might be easier to replicate since after paintin 2-3 coats, the paint might fill in the indents of the roman numerals, atleast with the dots one, u can paint it heavily and just paint dots even if dot indents have been paint filled and less prominent
it hopefully wont need supports, but if ur bed adhesion gives ya trouble, try supports touching buildplate. im only worried about the hexagonal barrel being printed on one of its corners, some FDM printers might have issues with it, Brim 3 lines will fiix that if u have the setting options to do so. Peace
